How to make default replacement (override) file

I learned this from Inge's comment on this thread@MTS.

Whether CAS items or objects, the point is to un-check "Renumber/rename internally" when cloning in s3oc.
You can not use TSRWS for making default replacement files.


I'd like to explain the process using a plant as an example.

If you don't have TSR Workshop (TSRWS) yet, get it from this page in TSR. You need registered account to download it.   Install it following this instruction.  And install plug-ins for Milkshape following this instruction.

Step by step tutorial for making a decorative object - Step 3. Preparing textures

The texture on ts3 objects is defined mainly from Overlay, Mask, Multiplier and Specular.


They are in dds format.  But you don't have to install a graphic software that can handle dds for now.  I used png pictures for this tutorial.
